It's especially important if you're a wolf not to start them - if people know you well, they'll be able to pin you down easier, and it's a lot harder to carry on in a locked post. For sheep, on the other hand, well... you saw what Lady Matsumoto did to us last round in a locked post.
The only drawback to them for sheep is getting suckered into one with a wolf - luckily, most wolves are either smart enough or cautious enough not to go out of their way to start them, with few exceptions.
